Bolu (Manni) Recipe ( Indian Baby Food)

"Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." - Elizabeth Stone
So true. Isn’t it?

On internet, when I search for the meaning of Motherhood, I get this…
“The kinship relation between an offspring and the mother.”
Motherhood in itself is such a huge term that defining it is almost next to impossible. You all might be wondering why am I giving this “Gyaaan” now…. It’s nothing of that sort. I became a mother and entered motherhood few months back. The journey has been an incredible one. So I just thought of sharing it with you all.

There have been times where I have felt if it was a correct decision to have a baby this early in my life. There have been times when I am completely drained out of my energy through the day taking care of my baby, household chores. But at the end of all, when I see my baby’s face, hear his giggles, feel his touch, I feel it has all paid off. J I just forget everything. My world suddenly becomes so colorful and meaningful and all smiles around.

I just want to have the best of everything for him. We generally become very doubtful with everything that we get in the market. We have hundreds of question before we buy anything for our baby. To start with, baby food is something that we all mothers are worried about as to what is good and what is not. We always want to give the best to our baby. So why trust something unknown when we can make it at our home with at most cleanliness and care. And trust me, you will enjoy preparing this manni since it is for the most special person in your life J. Happy parenting!!!

You can make manni either with water or milk.
Mix 1tsp of manni powder in half a cup of water/ milk so that no lumps are formed.
Bring it to boil on medium flame or till the manni thickens a bit.
Add salt/ jaggery and mix well.

You can start giving this concoction once in a day and then increase it to 3times a day or as per baby’s liking.
